Welcome to St. Thomas the Apostle!
"Guided by the Holy Spirit, we the people of St. Thomas Parish strive to grow in love and charity, education and service to others, with Christ as the head of the Church."
Ash Wednesday – March 5th
Masses, with distribution of ashes, are at 8 am and 7 pm
Ash Wednesday is a day of fast and abstinence. Catholics between the ages of 18 and 59 are obliged to fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, allowing only one full meal, and two smaller meals which together do not equal a full meal. In addition, all Catholics 14 years and older must abstain from meat on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and all Fridays during Lent.
Stations of the Cross in church each Friday during Lent, at 6 pm, followed by soup and bread in the parish center.
"The family is the first appropriate environment for sowing the seed of the Gospel and the one in which parents and children, like living cells, go on assimilating the Christian ideal of serving God and the brethren." –Pope John Paul II
