The function of the parish council is to assist the pastor in his leadership role of planning, organizing, initiating, promoting, coordinating and reviewing the evangelization, worship, religious education, stewardship and service activities within the parish.
The council will promote the best interests of the parish and make recommendations for its good management and proper development.
St. Thomas Parish Council typically meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Meetings are held at 3:30 pm in the Mission House dining room and are open to all interested parishioners. Other meetings may be scheduled as needed, or dates moved to accomodate availablity of pastor or members.
If you have an item you'd like to bring to the council, please contact the parish office or a member of the parish council to be added to the agenda for a particular meeting.
Our council consists of parish representatives who sit on various committees, such as Outreach, Religious Education, Liturgy, Building, and Social/Hospitality.
The Finance Council is a consultative group which is to aid the Pastor in the administration of the parish. This includes assisting the Pastor and the people of the parish in developing, maintaining, and disbursing the material and financial resources of the entire parish.
